SHEA CIRCLES
Building Africa’s Largest Women-Owned Economy — One Village at a Time
Health first. Wealth next. Leadership always. We organize women in groups of 20 to own their health, their money, and their markets.

Active Cooperative
Sisterhood. Health. Enterprise. Agency.
Solving the Fragmentation Problem
The Fragmented Past (Aid-Based)
For decades, developmental programs came to African women in pieces. A health clinic here. A loan there. A training somewhere else. They were disconnected, donor-dependent, and short-lived, placing administrative burdens on communities with minimal lasting impact.
The SHEA CIRCLES Model (Ownership-Based)
SHEA CIRCLES puts it all together — and puts women in charge. We synthesize wellness, savings, and export logistics into a single integrated framework owned and run by the circle. Sustainable, cooperative, and highly scalable.
How SHEA CIRCLES Work
Each Circle receives a Solar Shea Kit and operates as three essential community functions:
1. A Health Hub
Circles handle blood pressure checks, menstrual health support, and nutrition tracking. Women care for each other weekly. The aggregate health data feeds back to help regional governments serve rural communities more effectively.
2. A Sisterhood Bank
Members save $2 per woman, per week. After 3 months of consistent accumulation, the Circle accesses micro-group loans to fund collective and individual local businesses. There is no traditional collateral required — only deep community trust.
3. An Export Co-op
Each Circle chooses 1 primary product from their ancestral lands: Shea butter, Baobab powder, Moringa leaves, organic Honey, or specialized Textiles.
AAF provides branding, quality standardization, and direct listing on “SHEA BY AFRICA” — our global marketplace. Global buyers purchase directly from the village.
The Leadership Ladder
We are growing entrepreneurs today and presidents tomorrow. Active leaders advance systematically:
Village level
Circle Member / Leader
Coordinating 20 women locally to run health monitoring, collective savings, and product harvesting.
Regional representation
County Summits
Collaborating with neighboring circles to negotiate regional logistics, trade scales, and health support.
Policy alignment
National Forums
Interacting directly with national ministries of trade, agriculture, and health to optimize rural resource allocations.
Continental leadership
African Agenda Women’s Parliament
Shaping continental policy under AU Agenda 2063, securing land rights, and driving trade integration.
